There are 6 of us and we each have a shoe tray (this black tray thing I think you can get at Lowe's or HD). They line a whole wall in our garage. Above each shoe tray is a wooded thing with I think 4 pegs each. So all the kids are responsible for their own stuff. Right now, each child has a pair of Crocs, a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of rain boots on their trays. I have some Sunday shoes in our front closet on a shoe rack. We live in Alaska so there is not much choice for shoes! The winter time the kids have their snow boots and a pair of sneakers. My 11 year dd can keep any extra shoes in her own closet. And for me I have 3 pairs of shoes in my closet in my room, on a pair of rain boots, Crocs and 2 pairs of sneakers in the garage. My dh now, well he wears boots for work and they are huge. So we have those floating around. His nice shoes and sneakers. hth. Cardinals 7s,A boy paralysed by a hit and run driver is set to finally receive a potential multi million compensation payout after an eight year legal battle. Daniel Hennessy was just five when he was mowed down and left for dead by illegal driver Sajid Hussain in Rochdale in 2002. A High Court hearing ruled Daniel, now 13, will receive 60 per cent of the settlement paid for by the Motor Insurers' Bureau which awards compensation to the victims of uninsured drivers. Christopher Wilson Smith QC, barrister for the Hennessy family, told the court the decision had been made to ensure Daniel had as comfortable life as possible. He said: "In the light of the limited evidence available, it seems to be right and in the claimant's best interests that the proposed compromise should be approved." He added that many questions in the case remained unanswered such as the speed of the car at the time of the incident and whether Hussain could have done anything to avoid hitting Daniel. Daniel, who lives in Dublin, was visiting his grandparents when the crash took place on Belfield Road, Rochdale. He suffered serious head and spinal injuries and a collapsed lung and faces spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Hussain, who was 16 at the time of the crash, paid just 76 to his victim after winning a legal bid to overturn a compensation order of 2,555. He was given a two year driving ban. But just months later he ploughed into 67 year old lollipop woman Audrey Chadwick breaking her jaw, cheekbone, pelvis and forearm and was sentenced to 18 months in a young offenders institution. In 2007, Hussain, from Rochdale, was then jailed for nine months after being convicted of four counts of driving while disqualified and without insurance. Daniel could receive a multi million pound compensation package, with the amount to be decided following evidence from medical experts. A date for the hearing has yet to be decided. Outlet Store Online To Buy Cheap Cardinals 7s,Olive 9s His actions led to the death of a popular seven year old boy. Having already served just over half that, 43 year old Clifford, of Dartmouth Crescent, Bilston, was able to immediately return to his former life. Clifford, who owned the vehicle jointly with his wife but did not have a full licence, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking at Wolverhampton Crown Court in April. He was jailed for two years, but yesterday, in a hearing at London's Criminal Appeal Court, Lord Justice Maurice Kay, Mr Justice Jack and Mr Justice Simon, cut the sentence to six months. Mr Justice Simon said that, although he had taken the car without his wife's consent, the boy's death had been an accident which Clifford could not have avoided. Clifford, who has a motorcycle licence and experience of fork lift trucks, took the car for a drive after becoming upset on October 1. But tragedy struck when seven year old Keilyn, a pupil at Hurst Hill Primary School, Coseley, stepped from behind a parked car in Childs Avenue, Woodcross, in Wolverhampton. Witnesses said there was no way that Clifford could have seen the boy or that he was driving badly or speeding. But Clifford failed to stop and drove home, before going to a police station to tell officers he thought he had hit something. Today his lawyers appeared at the Appeal Court to argue that the sentence imposed was "manifestly excessive" on the grounds that there had been no aggravating factors in the offence. Allowing the appeal, Mr Justice Simon said: "Having considered all the submissions, we have concluded that the sentence of two years immediate imprisonment was too long by a factor which entitles this court to intervene. "We make no criticism of the recorder, who faced a very difficult sentencing exercise. "No sentence will be adequate to reflect the loss of a child." By Nick Pritchard This man(and I use this term lightly as what I want to call him is not printable) had no licence and decided he wanted to go for a little drive. He drove past a school and hit a 7 year old child yes a 7 year old some poor familys baby and could not even be bothered to stop killing him. He should not be let out just after 3 months . is that all a childs life is worth 3 months !! This sends out the wrong message to these idiots who think it OK to drive around with no Insurance, Tax or even a driving licence. He will be able to get on with his life as normal the parents of Keilyn will be living a life sentence , they will not get the opportunity to have their sentence reduced they have to live each and every day without the son. I currently taking driving lessons and one of the major things that I have learnt, which may of avoided or at least lessoned injuries to the poor child, is the emergancy stop. As this person has no licence and probably no intention of ever getting one, then obviously he wouldn know this potentially life saving maneuver. People like him need to be stopped and sufficiently penalised. One wonders how he would feel if someone did the same to his child under the same circumstances and how he would feel if they got exactly the same sentance as he did. My thoughts and prayers go out to the poor boys family Everyone has a duty to obey the law of the land, had this scum carried out that duty he would not have been driving a car along that stretch of road, had he obeyed that duty the car he was driving would not have come into contact with that child, end of argument, he was guilty of causing the death of a child. Now another point to get people thinking, this guy walked free after being the cause of the death of this little child, Ronnie Biggs got 30 years for robbing a train, so this just shows how British Law values money more than a child's life, what a sick society. Cardinals 7s On the eighth and final day of a four game road trip, the Pacers had a chance to head back to Indianapolis on a high note. Instead, a series of questionable calls helped propel Denver to a 102 101 victory at the Pepsi Center. The loss was Indiana third straight after opening the trip with a victory in Memphis last Monday. The Nuggets are a perennial playoff team in the Western Conference and play very well at home. Monday night victory was their 18th in 21 home games, but it is one they almost let slip away. The Pacers trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half and they looked to be on the wrong end of a blowout when Frank Vogel called timeout with less than seven minutes to play and his team trailing 96 82. However, the Pacers rallied back and tied the game at 99 with less than two minutes to play, completing a 17 3 run. The Nuggets failed miserably down the stretch at the free throw line. At one point during the fourth quarter, Andre Iguodala missed four consecutive free throws. The Pacers clearly had the momentum and a chance to either win or force overtime once Paul George blocked Danilo Gallinari shot with 26 seconds to play. However, the visitors were unable to either win or force overtime thanks to a couple of officiating decisions that left the visiting speechless. All Star Paul George had a clear out opportunity with less than five seconds to play and about one second separating the game and shot clock. However, George was unable to get past Iguodala on the drive even though the defender appeared to initiate contact. No foul was called and Denver corralled the ball and called timeout with just .5 seconds to play. Despite the turnover overtime seemed likely until Andre Miller in bounds pass to Iguodala near the rim drew a quick whistle. George and Iguodala appeared to make incidental contact, but since Iguodala lost his balance and was unable to catch the pass, a foul was called on George with just one tenths of a second running off the clock. Iguodala finally made a free throw, then missed the second on purpose and time expired on the rebound attempt. That kind of response was repeated by players, although veteran forward David West made his disappointment known. "You just don't expect the whistle to be blown in that situation. They (Nuggets) basically only have one option and that was the option. You don't expect it but stranger things have happened." Despite the problems on the final two possessions, Paul George had another spectacular all around performance with 23 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Lance Stephenson contributed 20 points while West added 17.
