I immediately started searching for them, and it didn take long to find them. Paratroopers during WWII wore "jump boots". During WWII, jump boots were brown all leather cap toe boots made by a US company called Corcoran. They were different than the boots that other non paratroopers wore during WWII because they were much higher on the leg and provided much more ankle support. They tall 10". I usually keep the laces out of the top 4 eyelets when first putting them on, and this makes putting the boots on much easier in the morning. The leather is thick and sturdy. The shoes are built using the Goodyear Welt method, and the stitching and nails seem excellent (see pictures below). I ride a motorcycle. They come with leather laces as well as some regular synthetic laces. A sling back strap like in the picture (right) will make your legs look longer than the sky, and the full sole (no thin stiletto heel) gives you the stability, and also the visual effects that you want (thing heels like stilettos gives the impression of your legs narrowing down into an unflattering v shape at your feet, the wedge or a thick heel solve this problem) Boots work the best for the pear shape when they are knee high, or even above the knee (if you can find a pair that looks professional) and have a thick heel/wedge.
