There's never a shortage of to die for shoes on the runway and this year there was no exception. From the attainable footwear like Christian Siriano for Payless Collection to the unattainable like Liam Fahy's Spring Summer Collection 2013 were each pair of shoes is authentic and original and comes embellished with a nickel sole to the unwearable like Alexander McQueen's Fall 2012 armadillo shoes. But in today's world of DIY fashion why couldn't someone take the inspiration from the runway and create their own pair of runway inspired shoes? Well it seems that someone has. I Made This who has decided to take inspiration from the runway and create her own DIY runways shoes. Her inspiration? Viktor Rolf glamorous throwback to old school Hollywood bead embellished runway shoes. The shoe in itself conjures up images of old Hollywood channeling images of Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe. But with a price tag of $1755 only the rich and super obsessed with shoes can afford them. Her DIY steps are super easy to follow and depending on where you buy your materials and what shoes you decide to embellish you're looking at roughly $70 and more than likely less if you're a diehard DIYer and already have some of the materials all ready lying around. The reasoning is tht if an individual has taken the time to acquire further education they will be a great asset to the company. While this is not always correct companies want to hire people with skills that can help the companys bottom line. This may sound silly, however, when you are working in a virtual call center from home, you are responsible to make sure that you know how to effectively use your computer skills. Unfortunately there is no one there to help you when your computer freezes, or breaks down. You have to have the skills to quickly reboot and have your computer running while the customer is on the phone. You have to be able to know how to have your computer in running order before the start of every shift. Some people are familiar with surfing the internet, however, they are not familiar with how to keep their computers updated with the latest antivirus software and how to clear their cookies after a working day. This will become your responsibility when you are working from home. Virtual call center companies are hiring you based on their understanding that you know how to make sure that your virtual call center equipment is always in perfect operating order. Another skill that will be vitally important is multitasking. While performing your call center job, you have to be able to talk on the phone, type, search for relevant information to help the customer and use your thinking skills. All these element can be learned. This is where learning ability is crucial in call center jobs. There is a vast amount of information to learn before answering your first call. Your ability to quickly absorb the information and then be able to explain it to a customer and utilize that same information to help solve a customers problem is what make the learning curve steep Next >Last Updated on Tuesday, 17 August 2010 05:31Who's OnlineWe have 286 guests online Site StatisticMembers : 51015 Content : 87441 Web Links : 1423 Content View Hits : 15249185 Remember me Forgot login? The morning was dark and foggy when Maria Ann Taylor set out to across the road to the bus stop at Lassiter Farms Lane and McLemore, investigators said. Then a dark colored sport utility vehicle struck her and kept going. Troopers said the SUV driver was clearly at fault. The school bus had come to a complete stop, its stop sign was out, and all its lights were flashing, Sharpe said. Neighbors expressed concern that the intersection outside a subdivision is too busy to be a safe bus stop. "I always make them stand back, because I'm scared someone is going to hit them," said Sharon Reese, who takes her elementary school children at the stop every morning. "I'm scared that it's going to happen to another child." Administrators will try to move the bus stop inside the subdivision, said Billy Sugg, director of Johnston County Schools Transportation Services. He went to the scene and talked to parents Thursday. Sugg said the subdivision's homeowners' association must give the school system permission before it can move the bus stop. "I don't know why that bus would not come in here," Reese said. Troopers are looking for a dark colored Chevrolet Tahoe or a GMC Yukon sport utility vehicle, made between 1992 and 1999. The SUV's passenger side mirror fell off during the hit and run, and it could have front end damage, troopers said. I am so glad this little girl is okay. I do have to say though, I thought about the teen driver thing since yesterday, and does anybody realize what time the accident was, and when school starts. I don know about you guys, but I don know too may teens that would be going to school a whole hour early. As a matter of fact, I don know many teachers that would have been there an hour early. They start later than the middle school. And, I came through the stop, right as the bus was approaching, and the bus driver had the flashing lights on quite a distance before even getting to the stop. I slowed down to make sure the stop sign wasn out, but they just had the flashing lights on. I hoping everyone will just let the police speculate on the driver and when they know, we know. Old Reb, I am in doubt as to whether the police will even find the driver of this vehicle. Certainly justice does need to be meted out, but in this case it is all a matter of me if you can, and at this moment in time I am more than a small bit cynical in regards to the great detective powers that be in this great state of ours. The location of this incident, Clayton, would lead me to believe that the perpetrator of the hit and run could be a government official, or at least a relative of one, which would make me expect that if the police did indeed and finally acquire the perpetrator, that the said person would be released and the matter swept under the carpet, so to speak. This is North Carolina, a state rife with ole boy financial and political practices. But, maybe I will surprised in this matter as I have been in others in my life.

Maybe the youngest has started school, and Mom suddenly has a lot of free time. Or perhaps Mom was successful in her career before having her first child, and wished to put her skills to good use in a home based business. We don't live in the days of our Grandparents, where the advice was: Get a good education, get a good job, work hard for 40 years and let the company take care of you. Retirement is almost a joke. There is no such thing as job security anymore. Layoffs and downsizing are commonplace today. Social Security and Medicaid may not even be around when some of us reach retirement age. For many families, the loss of the primary earner's income is devastating. Most families simply do not have the 6 12 months of living expenses set aside in savings that financial advisors recommend. Oftentimes it takes a person weeks or even months to find employment that matches the salary they are used to. Unemployment benefit checks are not enough to cover even the bare necessities of life. Having a Home Based Business provides the family with a second income. During the period of unemployment, Mom can step up her efforts to build her business and make more money. Dad might be in a position to help out more, giving her the ability to do this with more focus. Who knows. Stranger things have happened! 2) Having a Home Based Business provides extra income to help the family meet certain goals. For instance. getting out of debt. An extra few hundred dollars a month added to the credit card debt load could make a huge difference in how quickly the debts get paid off. After this is accomplished, the money that was going to credit cards could be applied towards private education for children, savings for college, that special vacation the family has always wanted to take, a newer model car, renovations on the house so siblings can have more space (or Mom her own office!). Another awesome goal is that of paying off the mortage early. By making an additional mortage payment periodically most couples can shave YEARS off of the life of their mortage. Few people own their homes outright, but what a freeing feeling that would be! 3) Having a Home Based Business models entrepreneurship to children In today's world, it's more important than ever for our kids to learn how to "mind their own business". Children who grow up watching Mom work her business learn how to manage time wisely, they learn how to take responsibility for themselves financially (instead of relying on an employer), and they may learn practical skills especially if Mom lets them help out or even pays them to help. 4) Having a Home Based Business improves relationships Most women I have spoken with about the subject agree that it isn't good for their self esteem to have to ask their husbands for money. What's bad for a woman's self esteem is bad for the marriage! Women feel better about themselves when they are at least somewhat independent financially. They also have something besides "what little Johnny did today" to talk about at the dinner table. It keeps the relationship fresh and lively when a couple can discuss their challenges and triumphs in their business and work lives. Anytime you see someone do something they're good at, it causes you to see them in a new light and have newfound appreciation for them. This is always a good thing in marriage! Work from home Moms also tend to stay more connected with their peers, via networking with other business moms, prospecting for new customers and business partners, and the like. There is a tendency for new Moms to stay in the nest a little too much at first, and this can lead to depression. A business Mom, on the other hand, is almost forced to talk to people! She has a reason to get up, get dressed in something other than sweats, and go out and meet people. Little Johnny doesn't care if you put on shoes and makeup, but doing so does wonders for your energy and mood. 5) Having a Home Based Business gives a Mom "something else" That "something else" also makes the transition to empty nest hood easier. So many women fall into deep depression when their youngest child leaves home. If more Moms had a Home Based Business, instead of having their self worth completely tied to Motherhood, maybe this wouldn't happen so much. Bel Air 5s A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) In what was only his second movie Brando rose to critical acclaim for his role as a brutal man who hates his sister in law. The audience said "Look at the talent, give him the Oscar", the Academy responded by awarding every member of the cast besides Brando. Brando smeared some shoe polish in his face and put on his best Mexican accent for the role as Mexican revolutionary hero Emiliano Zapata. The audience said "Give the man an Oscar", the Academy responded with a "Nah" and gave it to Gary Cooper. "The master would not approve." Brando played Mark Anthony in this dime a dozen adaptation of William Shakespeare's play by the same name. Unfortunately the third time was not the charm for Brando who once again got stood up when it was time to hand out awards. Brando took a break from making award harvesting movies to make this movie about two motorcycle gangs having a dick measuring brawl in a small town. It faced a young Brando against a beard sporting, cigar munching Lee Marvin, so while it may not be Brando's best movie it's probably his coolest. We're totally riding these motorcycles. Brando plays a boxer turned bum who has to stand up to a corrupt union boss. The audience said "Will you give him the Oscar now? Will you give him the Oscar now? Will you give him the Oscar now?", the Academy said "Shut up already" and gave him the Oscar. Coincidentally no one has seen Bob Hope since 1954. In this Korean war drama Brando plays a Major who is opposed to American soldiers dipping their pens in Japanese ink, until he tries it himself. There was probably some deeper meaning to it, but we didn't pay that much attention. This also got Brando his last Oscar nomination in 15 years. "It feels strange, yet good at once." Brando originally started out as a theater actor, but since no one had made it big as a theater actor since the 1500's he eventually drifted into movies and got his film debut in 1950, with the war veteran drama The Men. With his film debut Brando introduced method acting into Hollywood, or at least made it more know. While acting teacher Lee Strasberg is often co credited for the introduction of method acting Brando later called Strasberg a talentless exploiter and refused to acknowledge that there even was such a thing a method acting. Brando put on one of the worst accents in movie history for this remake of the classic 1935 movie. He also gained heavy criticism for driving the movies budget trough the roof making it impossible for it to collect at the box office, and ending Brando's run as a superstar, for a decade. Since there was no talk of awards Brando awarded himself by knocking up one of his female co stars. "I might have a British accent, but it's not my upper lip that's stiff." Brando started the decade with his directional debut and followed it with the mentioned Mutiny on the Bounty remake, Brando drove the budget for both movies trough the roof and together they killed the remains of his reputation and box office draw. Turning him into a Nicolas Cage of 60's. On the more personal front Brando re married with actress Movita, who played the love interest in the original Mutiny on the Bounty, and had two children with her. Before divorcing her in order to marry actress Tarita, who played the love interest in the remake of Mutiny on the Bounty, and had two children with her, and a third out side of their marriage. Brando was also a big supporter of the Civil Rights movement in the 60's. He participated in the march on Washington, supported JFK's presidential campaign and was a great admirer of Martin Luther King Jr. Brando beat out almost every other middle aged actor in Hollywood for the out sought role as the mafia Don, Vito Corleone in this adaptation of Mario Puzo's novel The Godfather. Strangely popular role considering he spends most of his time behind a desk or in a bed mumbling something about family and respect. When it was released everybody called it the greatest movie of all time, and it won Brando his second Oscar. "You said there would be capicola." In this movie, that featured a lot less dancing than the title would suggest, Marlon Brando successfully ruined both sex and butter for everybody who saw it, and received an Academy Award nomination for it. Rated R for scenes of extreme horror Brando's love for money became obvious when he received a baffling, and at the time record high, 14 million dollars for his 10 minute role as Superman's father. But to be fair no one is ever going to take you serious again after appearing in a movie that includes changing the earth's rotation to turn back time. So what was 10 minutes on screen was also the end of Brando's career as a serious actor, and the beginning of his project to turn himself into a human whale. "With great power comes shitloads of money." Probably the prime example of how hard Brando could be to work with. He refused to read the script, nor the source novel, demanded 1 million dollars in advance, turned up drunk on set, refused to be filmed from the waist down so people wouldn't know how fat he had become, and preferred to spend his time throwing coconuts at Francis Ford Coppola rather than actually working on the movie. After the movie Brando retired from movies, for almost a decade. Brando started of the decade by getting divorced, and followed it by making yet another movie nobody saw. Then he won the title role in The Godfather which again put him on the box office top for the first time in 15 years. He also won another Oscar for the movie, but when he was going to receive it he instead sent a native American actress to refuse it and tell the white man to go eat a bowl of dicks. He the made box office top again with Last Tango in Paris, but when his next movie The Missouri Breaks did poorly with both critics and viewers he decided to stop taking lead roles and just phone in supporting roles for ridiculously large amounts of money. Brando started the decade with giving his, at the time, worst performance in what was his, at the time, worst movie The Formula. After the complete and utter failure of the movie Brando decided to retire. A retirement that last a full 9 years, until he returned to the screen with the mentioned apartheid drama. On the personal front it was also a quiet decade for Brando who actually managed to neither get married nor divorced anyone. He did however knock up his maid, an activity that he would continue to due, and together they had their first child, his 7th in total.
